Sneak Peek: The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy’s First Graduating Class
This world has produced a lot of leaders who are intelligent, great analysts and strategists but only a few have actually achieved success in terms of building an empire of great leaders like themselves. Most, even hardly move up. Some of them have just fixed their eyes on moving up. Few are only concerned about empathy for their people and unleashing their people’s potentials and this small few move up so fast. Our attitude towards people and life as a whole is the only thing that differentiates across the board.
Emotional intelligence is something in the intelligence spectrum that our education system hasn’t put much focus on yet. Our schools should start focusing on how to help the students believe in the values that the society need. Schools should teach us how to deal and overcome our stresses, our failures, our pains and how these can make or break our future. Our children should be taught how hurtful words and selfishness could make or break someone else’s future.
Leaders who are not motivated by money or position but more on their significance to their people and their worth in the organization they work for are the kind of leaders who effortlessly move up. These leaders know how great potentials are unleashed. These leaders are professional in both words and actions. These leaders know that the words they say can make or break someone’s future.
